Since we put down laminate flooring, I have had to tweak the list of deep cleaning chores for our living room. For next year's deep cleaning, I will have to have DH's help to move the sofa and area rug to clean. While the living room covers the entire width of our home, I usually get it done in one long day of deep cleaning. As a result, I plan on a very simple supper for that particular day.
Living Room
- Dust walls, wall decoration, & pictures
- Dust all furniture inside & out
- Dust lampshades, lamps, & artificial plants
- Remove books from bookshelves to dust, dust top of books
- Wash windows, curtains, & doilies
- Clean all knick knacks, baskets, & storage containers
- Remove sofa cushions & vacuum, vacuum all nooks & crannies of sofa
- Move furniture & area rug to sweep, dust mop, & wet mop floor
- Sweep, dust mop, & wet mop rest of floor, shake out rugs
