Candles are a favorite of mine to decorate with. You can change the candles to meet the season or holidays. They are relatively inexpensive and come a variety of colors and shapes. Here are some of the ways I decorate with candles.
- Pillar Candles: Set a variety of pillar candles of different heights on a table, bookshelf, or counter top. Whether in a row, semi-circle, or cluster; they can provide a pop of color and interest to a bare corner. Or place them in a cluster on a pretty plate or tray to add another decorative element to the display.
- Candles W/ Mirrors: Set pillar candles on a mirror. It will help reflect light in to the room when you light them.
- Candle Holders: There are all kinds of candle holders on the market. Whether used as a group setting or for individual candles, they will add a decorative element to any candle. Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Walmart are good places to look for relatively inexpensive candle holders.
- Jar Candles: I like candles that in jars. They prevent candle wax from getting everywhere. They also help to reflect the candle light with their glass.
- Decorative Candles: When you are lucky enough to find candles in various shapes or decorative touches, buy them in you can for your home. Some of my favorite candles are the candles I have in the shape of seas shells. I also have candles that are decorated with butterflies and flowers.
Candles are just one of those simple ways to add a little light and pizazz to your home!
