Our Simple Home: Our Side Entrance And Laundry Room

We moved into our home in the fall of 2006. We had dreamed and planned for a long time. We both knew what we wanted and took our time looking. As soon as we walked in to it, we knew it was exactly what we wanted; an open floor plan for the main living area, a master suite, and a kitchen where the sink was at a window so I could look out at the surrounding beauty when I washed dishes.

The entrance we use is our side entrance. Most of our family and friends know when they come for a visit know to use it.

Come on in for a visit!

When you come through the door, you enter into our laundry room. There is a refrigerator on the right side. Beside it are our dryer and washing machine. Above the appliances is a shelf with crates that hold laundry/ironing essentials, dirty kitchen towels, cleaning rags, items to be ironed, and a place for hangers. On the left side; there is two coat racks, our appointment center, trash can, and wall decorations.

Since the laundry room leads into the kitchen, I carried my apple theme into the laundry room. Decorating the laundry room makes it a more enjoyable spot to work in and I am in it quite often.

Our laundry room is small and sees a lot of use. It is a pleasant spot to enter the house after being gone for the day or a week. It is simply a nice spot to tackle the never ending mountain of laundry!

Come back tomorrow for a tour of our kitchen!
