Our Simple Home: Our Kitchen

When we began dreaming about a new home, I knew exactly how I wanted to decorate our kitchen. I wanted an apple themed kitchen. Once it became a reality, I have loved every inch of it.

When you enter our kitchen from the laundry room, our kitchen frig is on the right with a little counter space and cabinets on top and bottom. The sink is next underneath a window with cabinets below. More counter top space comes next with cabinets above and below then our stove/oven with cabinets above. Cabinets with a bar separate the kitchen from the living room and run perpendicular to the cabinets with the sink and stove/oven. We don't eat at the bar but use it as more counter top space.

Looking in to the kitchen from the laundry room. You can see our dining table and stove/oven. As well as our cabinets with the bar.

Our stove/oven and cabinets. Our microwave to the left and an utensil container on the right.
The corner of the counter top of the bar area with more of our apple decor.

To the left when you enter the kitchen is our dining area. There is a mirror on the wall and a corner shelf for knickknacks. Our dining room table is the very first one we ever had. My parents bought it for us when we first moved in to our own place. We have replaced the chairs since then. On the wall opposite the sink are some apple wall decorations and a china cabinet that my daddy built for us as a Christmas present one year.

I made our placemats out of a table runner. Napkins came from Walmart.

I love our kitchen. It is somewhat on the small side, but still feels spacious with its openness. With the natural light coming in from the window and the apple theme, it makes it an enjoyable place to cook or bake in.

Simply loving our apple kitchen and enjoying every minute of it!
